Where was I....? Ah, right EDR 2

Lurking Rob Rouser TMZ style. "Who threw that drink last night?", "Jerks."

What better way to celebrate a rich culture I'm visiting for the first time!... Clean my bike.

While everyone was getting loose at the "Fox Hole" it up we decided to do laundry and eat candy. Duh, we're bikers.

Brian decided that all of us looked and felt like shit. So his solution was to buy b-12 shots. Pain and hilarity ensue. Close your eyes Mrs. Mack, your boy is now a sketchy man.

Im saying ouch.

Eww road grime.
Then Brian and I found this epic pastor bar. Nom.

Kevin stayed home to "sleep it off"

Aaron's Sportster

Aaron cruised down from Abilene this weekend and we all rolled out to get a look at the Formula 1 track construction.  At this point it is just a bunch of piles of dirt pushed around in different directions, but you can see the track is beginning to take shape.  While Aaron was out, I got to take some shots of his EFI Sportster, every inch of this bike was meticulously gone through, and every part was pieced together to function as one high performance machine.

more EDR pics

off the top while im trying to only post the pics i took on this trip, when i got home i got a little flooded with other peoples pics and trying to keep them together they all ended up in one folder. so apologies to anyone if i post anything that i didnt take myself. im horrible with photo etiquette and tend to get a little kramer sometimes when it comes up from my friends who know. i tried to get around and take pics of most of the bikes, some nicer than others. and all with the handy iphone 4 which actually takes pretty good pictures. so take that photo fags.

clam showder anyone??

you have no idea how hilarious this sign actually is. i first saw it the morning after FOUR HOURS of consecutive burnouts from midnight till 4am, infused with a healthy dose of M-80s about every 3 minutes. but the bottle rockets didnt start until the second night.

theres gonna be at least one of these in every post. i have a ton of them.

we lost richard just before temecula. we were so bummed, hes such a great guy. at one point shortly before the border i looked back and we had another dude out of nowhere riding with us in our pack. turned out to be one of the coolest guys i met on the trip. im stoked we met austin. i cant wait to ride with you again bro!

ensenada bound. stoked to ride again.

what do you do when you finally get to tattoo yourself? "i did this" rouser rob rules.

more to come...

EDR 4 - (post 1 of who knows)

so im finally starting to come back down to earth after the trip. we had a blast, and only would have been better if matt and the daves could have made the trip with us. me an nick did our best to represent otherwise. 700 miles on the surface didnt really seem that much to me, but mexico miles are a little different and it really seemed like quite a journey when it was all said and done. i took a good amount of pics, although now i wish i would have got a few more of some specific things. im not gonna post em all right now, but ill do some updates over the next couple days in semi correct order. anyone on the fence about whether or not to make this run in the future do not hesitate. DO IT. do it. doo it.

we lost richard just outside of temecula. fixed the oil line, but couldnt do anything about the generator. bummer dude. we missed you rich!

we ate crickets. not the cool kind like you get off a cart in china. these were from the gas station. they tasted like salty paper.

pee-mex would be our beacon of hope for the next 4 days. the only gas station in mexico, owned by the government. and there arent many of them outside of the cities.

40 miles into the desert and we have this little gem to deal with. what do we do now?

this:

my man nick HANDLED this shit. 45 minutes and we are rollin.

kMack handled it too. this dude is the most fun guy i have ever got to travel with. if your planning a run, it would be in your best interest to fly him in. its worth it. im pretty sure he can be had for a very reasonable price.

yeah yeah, enough of this lifestyle shit, where are the bikes. dont worry there was tons. come back later im sick of this computer at the moment...
