I've been making pretty good progress on my shovel, with the help of some good friends and the maxing out of my credit card through ebay. Got my king and queen seat in, complete with a slit in the side for my stash! New headlight and tail light came in. Now I'm just waiting on some shorty mufflers, re-upholster and mount the seat then I'm all set for paint and finishing touches. I think I'm feeling some sort of very dark blue and root beer, thoughts? Party on!

Slowly But Surely
The new shovel is coming together. Still a few kinks to work out and waiting on a new headlight, fender and king and queen.

Born Free 2 Street Shot
Stolen from Ladyhump.blogspot.com.
We lucked out and got a spot next to Love Cycles, so there is no telling how many background shots we'll show up in!

Moving Along
Made some progress on my '68 shovel build. Tins are prepped for paint, new bars, grips, pipes, solo seat is temporary (waiting on a high back king and queen), firestone on the rear, avon and a 21" front wheel, mesh air cleaner. I'm waiting on a load of parts, including new big twin rockers for my springer and some trans mounting bolts that were mysteriously missing. All in all a good couple of weeks. Stay tuned!

Born Free Weekend Pt. 2
Once we made it to Long Beach, we met up with some of our buds from Hated of the World. After some parking lot repairs on some dudes bikes, we called it a night. Nick and I woke up early Saturday morning and ripped around Long Beach, then took a break to check out the ocean. When we rolled onto the block at 10:30am, there were already 200 plus bikes lining the street. We scored a nice parking spot in front of the Love Cycles tent and attempted to take in all the insane bikes that were present. I snapped some shots, but I could have taken atleast a hundred more.
Born Free Weekend Pt. 1
We loaded up my truck, headed out Thursday morning and managed to make it to a nice camp spot in Benson, Arizona (outside Tucson). After unloading the bikes, we ripped around town and found the only restaraunt open at 9pm. Turns out it was a pretty decent mexican food joint. A couple of desert burnouts and a few ours of sleep, then we were off for California.

Jockey Shift
Spent most of the day scraping flat black paint off all the chrome on my slabside shovel. I don't think I've ever seen this many zip ties in my life, also figured out quickly that the tranny wasn't bolted down properly. Looks like a long road ahead of loctite and correcting some backyard engineering.
Thanks to Tyler @ Nutter Photog for this shot of me trying to ride this beast.
